trentment proceeds,thenceforward, it becomes more and more apparent to both therapist and patient that she is playing the game much more often than at first seemed evident or even possible.Finally,after a varying length of time,the revelation comes that what at first looked like non-game-playing bchavior, or perhaps like an assortment of different games,turns out essentially to be yariations of the same game.It suddenly be- comes clear to both the therapist and herself(though not nec- essarily simultaneously)that she is playing this game not only on a few occasions,but all day long.every day.This moment of revelation is a decisive one both for the therapist's planning when it occurs to him,and for the patient's recovery when it occurs to her.For that is the moment when she becomes aware of her phenomenological Child,feels it subjectively in its clear- estTmi,santdherepvhea iwt htn thite btpst. possible for the patient truly to relinquish the game by an,Adult act of re-decision.
